Kids Hockey

Fingal Kids Hockey sessions start at 12.00 on a Sunday morning and run till approx 13.30.

Parents are asked to ensure their children have the following

• Gum shield
• Shin guards
• Hockey stick
• Appropriate footwear

The Fingal Colts Application form is required for all new attendies for the Sunday junior session.

Six-a-side tournament in Pembroke on Sunday 14th Oct

Brief Details: Group Stages:
1st match vs Corinthians – Won 5 : 0 All goals scored by Matthew Hynes, ball never came into our half.

2nd match vs Monkstown - Won 4 :0 Goals scored by Matthew Hynes/ Adam Bolton, ball never came into our half!

3rd Match vs TRR lost 2:1 Goal Scored by Amy Sutton. TRR very strong. Jack Hussey saved numerous goals & played a ‘stormer’ at the back. All were very disappointed to have lost but the smiles came back on their little faces when I told them they were in the semi finals!

Played YMCA in the semi finals, again we were very strong, ball rarely in our half. Won 3:0 scorers Jack Hussey, Matthew Hynes.

Final against TRR, lost 2:1 Scorer Matthew Hynes. Much more even game that the game in the group stages, Fingal almost equalised in the dying seconds……..very exciting all together.

I didn’t appoint a captain for the day or for each match as there would have been rows! When the medals were being presented Jack Hussey acted as Captain & called his team members up to receive their medals.

Coaches are asked to swap well in advance if they cannot make a date and also to advise Mick and Trev of the change. If the swap is not amended to this list it is not considered changed.

All coaches are asked to wear their full Fingal tracksuits and arrive at 11.45 at the latest.
